CTF League Plans.

Capture the Flag League.

Format.

League/Ladders if enough clans particiapte system.

7 v 7 - 3 Substitutes on map change. (WE HAVENT GOT 7 IN OUR CLAN FFS! I hear you cry. Don't worry! :). Read Below)

Sign Up starts 25th October, details to follow on procedure.

Each Team needs to be signed up by Friday Nov 8th. First matches will be Tuesday Nov 12th November.

Matches will be weekly on Tuesday and Thursday, between 7 and 9pm. Please when signing your team, state which time slot would be best for you (Tuesday 7pm or 8pm) or (Thursday 7pm or 8pm)

A TEAM, will consist off, one or MORE clans regsitered together under the umbrella of one name. Each team will only be allowed to field players from those clans registered under that name. WON ID checks will be checked every match.

EXAMPLE:

KIA1 and PC register under the name Bikkel KIllerZ. This team is in the CTF league, and is scheduled matches on a weekly basis, mostly in their preferred time slot. Only players registered in the HLCCL database for KIA1 and PC may take part in these matches for the CTF clan Bikkel KillerZ.

A CTF clan may consist of 1 - 3 clans registered in the HLCCL League.

Match format is 2 maps, one CTF specific, and one valve std. If and when we get more and more CTF maps made, we will move away from Valve maps entirely. The 2 maps are chosen each week by league organisors, and all teams play those 2 maps. No home maps. 3 points for 2-0 or 2-1. 1 point for Draw. 0 points for loss. WS 1 FF1 (this is up for discussion). Other variables, force respawn etc same as league, but again up for discussion.

Will need 4 - 6 COMMITTED ADMINS. Exisiting HLCCL Admins, apply here.

Fixtures will go up every Friday Night, for the following weeks matches.

Please if you are interested, post below. Maybe use this thread to find partners for your clans if needed.

AGAIN, this is a brand new format, new game etc, so it may take alittle time for things to settle down and run smoothly. Hope it will be some serious fun though :)

The point is Lynx, to join KIA in HLCCL CTF League, you would need either your existing clan to be a amember of the team in the CTF league with KIA, or join KIA in the league. You cannot join a clan solely for the purpose of the CTF league and still play for another clan in th eHLCCL League. You can however obviously, register for a clan in the league, just so you can play in the CTF league with them, if your not in a HLCCL league team at the moment.

ALTHOUGH, in this case, KIA1 and PC will probably be a single team for CTF. Raz is already talking to me about it :)

I'd like to admin CTF games but Tuesday I'm NEVER available and Thursday very rarely.

Please read carefully, you need minimum 6 Players on the night, 7 Players normally to field a full team, to take part in a ctf match.

Those clans that will struggle to find 7 players mid week, join up with other clans you like tomake a bigger squad. :)

I wonder why the div 1 clans form a team together, isn't it more fun if they form a team with a lower div clan so there is some more competition??

Tbh Bavarois. KIA and PC are very very good friends, online and Off. Us joining does make a very skilled team, but more to the point, all the PC and KIA guys get on really well, so we will make a happy team.

KIA1 and PC could probs get 7 players for the CTF league on our own, but if we are going to join with anyone, out side of the other KIAs, PC are the natural choice. Almost like our "sister" clan (heehee fagors ;) )

Not just for clans due to members etc. but cause the maps arn't big enough? Would just be poor?

The number could be adjusted, but most people seem to think this is about the right number, due to the defending/atacking tactics.

Will certianly start off 7 v 7. May drop to 6 v 6, or move to 8 v 8 depending on what peeps feel after first few weeks.

Be nice to have mixed clan skills eg top clans with a lower clan etc... Sounds like fun either way, just putting the idea past the mups to see if they want in or not and whether they could make tue or thur.

Out of intrest assume that only 2 of mups could make it, could we join up with two other clans to make 1 team? So long as all the mups play for the same team, does it matter how many come from a clan?

Yes you could join up to 3 Clans to make 1 CTF team. And each week, ANY members of thse 3 clans could play for that CTF team.

I think it's a great idea but I hate it that you need to be in a clan. I'm curently not in a clan and I wouldn't know one who is willing to recruit me. I got tons of CTF experience but I would not be able to join this league. :(

Don't like the idea of 7v7 - booty & gassy are the only maps that would (just) be able to cope with that many players. Totally rules out modemers too...

I agree, we played CTF on stalkyard with 10 people at it sucked, not just because of the map layout but it was way too small to play real ctf where you can defend or attack.

Perhap the solution is to get more ctf maps :) Even if it means porting them from other games?

I don't think that they are all suited to be converted to a AGCTF map. Most of the Op4ctf maps are based on barnacle movement. Altough some maps can be easy converted like op4ctf_wonderland. ;):sailor:
