7 v 7 - 3 Substitutes on map change. (WE HAVENT GOT 7 IN OUR CLAN FFS! I hear you cry. Don't worry! . Read Below)

Sign Up starts 25th October, details to follow on procedure.

Each Team needs to be signed up by Friday Nov 8th. First matches will be Tuesday Nov 12th November.

Matches will be weekly on Tuesday and Thursday, between 7 and 9pm. Please when signing your team, state which time slot would be best for you (Tuesday 7pm or 8pm) or (Thursday 7pm or 8pm)

A TEAM, will consist off, one or MORE clans regsitered together under the umbrella of one name. Each team will only be allowed to field players from those clans registered under that name. WON ID checks will be checked every match.

EXAMPLE:

KIA1 and PC register under the name Bikkel KIllerZ. This team is in the CTF league, and is scheduled matches on a weekly basis, mostly in their preferred time slot. Only players registered in the HLCCL database for KIA1 and PC may take part in these matches for the CTF clan Bikkel KillerZ.

A CTF clan may consist of 1 - 3 clans registered in the HLCCL League.

Match format is 2 maps, one CTF specific, and one valve std. If and when we get more and more CTF maps made, we will move away from Valve maps entirely. The 2 maps are chosen each week by league organisors, and all teams play those 2 maps. No home maps. 3 points for 2-0 or 2-1. 1 point for Draw. 0 points for loss. WS 1 FF1 (this is up for discussion). Other variables, force respawn etc same as league, but again up for discussion.

Will need 4 - 6 COMMITTED ADMINS. Exisiting HLCCL Admins, apply here.

Fixtures will go up every Friday Night, for the following weeks matches.

You can't "join a clan", if you already play for HLCCL clan. If your a free agent, join a HLCCL League Clan, and get them to sign (suggested with another clan) to the CTF league.

JA Aap2 CANNOT join your CTF team, unles the WHOLE of JA do so. I hope you understand this. Its a fairly simple rule/process.

Individual members cannot join CTF teams independently of their HLCCL League Clan.

So I will not enter JA into your clan details, until you have finalised this with the Clan leader. So your team consists of XAV and TT at the moment.

Of course, Aap2 could leave JA and join TT or XAV for HLCCL, if he really really wanted to be in XTA, and JA did not want to join XTA.

I cannot see what you dont understand, as it would seem that you do understand it.
A CTF clan is made up of COMPLETE clans from the HLCCL league. I can't see what you find ghard to grasp.

The HLCCL leadership are unable to cmmitt the time needed to create a seperate database, registration system just for CTF league, and as susch must use the existing league database and registration system to govern the CTF league.

Because the CTF league needs a good amount of players, o take part in each match, some clans may need to join together to make the size of squad needed.

If Killabee really is the only JA player that wishes to play in CTF, then JA should allow themselves to be covered by the XTA tag, but if JA want to play with another team, which i suspect they do, then Killabeee will be forced to either play with them, or leave JA and join TT or XAV.

Rule isn't going to change, so decide what you want to do.

im not sure but to me it looks like Eddz already made appointments with PC before he posted the concept of this league. it would be much more fun if for example KIA teams up with SC, MOD with a div3/4 clan, TBUK and VLK.

Personally if I was a Div1 clan, I would make a point of picking a weaker clan to pair with the interests of fun for ALL. Not just my own clan that would "ownor" all opponents with 30% of top div1 players. ;)

Yeh I suggest in the spirit of hlcup ratios that Div1 clans are forced to mix with div7 clans, and div2 with div6 etc. This way the teams should be much more even, and the league wont be ruled by all the div1 clans joining together. Would be a lot more fun methinks.

KIA have 7 players, we don't need to fuse with anyone, neither do PC, but PC are our close m8s, and we have never ad the opportunity to do something with them b4, when Raz read about it, he contacted me straight away, as he thought, and I agreed, that would be really god fun to do it together. The "best" 7 members wont be picked each wek, it will just be a mix n match, and as such BK are no stronger than KIA or PC individually.

We DO NOT care about winning, at all. And if we have to play 5 v 7 or 5 v 8 or 9.... well summin like that, to make it fair in others eyes, so be it, we just wanted to do this together.

BTW, good to see KIA2 and KIA5 getting it together. Are SC joining that CTF clan?

So this isn't open to debate? I might not even play so you can be assured I am utterly non biased and only thinking about mutual enjoyment. So KIA have no un1337 friends eh? :p Having KIA1-5 I woulda thought made it very easy for you to pick a lower div clan. To play uneven number of players would also detract methinks as it's supposed to be a team game, not just a smaller group of uber 1337 individuals.

To try and combat the stronger teams wipping the weak ones fear, how about a handicap system?

I am already thinking about making the amount of people that play solely dependent upon map, so for example, big maps will be 8 v 8, small maps 5 v 5 etc.

How about we add to that a handicap system, where teams like BK geta -1 handicap , so on a 4 v 4 map (Stalk) BK can only play 3 peeps (4 - 1), and a team made if 2 low div sides gets to have a handicap ratio like +1 or +2, so on a 4 v 4 map they would be allowed 5players (+1) or 6 players! (+2), which i think would even it all out.

We seriously have not gone with PC because we are desperate to win, this league will be fun, and we have always wanted to merge with pc, just not been viable in the normal league, this gave us a great opportunity to play all together.

As such, I dont want to have to not play with PC just beacuse it would make us a too strong team, and ruin everyone elses fun, but I do understand that that is a big concern, in a league designed for fun, so maybe by handicapping teams dependent on apparent ability, we could solve this issue.

What peeps think?

Just keep it at one number imo, i.e. 4on4 or 5on5 or 7on7 etc. Having 7 players turn up jusdt for 20 minutes isn't nyce if the next map is only 4on4.

Because of the low amont of maps, and also becuase in the maps that arent mirrored, the flag areas will be different, so 1 team may get a easier place for the flag to defend etc, was thinking of making it 1 map a week. Either the match is 1 x 30 min map for symmetrical maps or 2 x 15 mins for maps that are uneven, with each team defedning the red flag and the blue flag once, and scores combined after.

Hmm I don't like the handicap idea, it wouldn't make any difference if you make it 3v4 or something like that.
When the plan about a ctf league was proposed, I posted almost imediatly about the fact that div1 clans stick together etc.

It would be cool if there was a rule that a division 1 clan HAVE to merge with div 6 or so clan. And visa versa. And that both clans play.
The weaker teams learn from the stronger teams, and there will be more competition imho.

Ok Bav, BUT if we say Div 1 MUST go with Div 6, DIv 2 with Div 5, Div 3 with Div 4, I dont think that leaves us with many CTF clans that are allowed. Any solution.

And a lot of clans have a couple ofplayers that are Div 1 std, whats to stop them just playing the 5 6 7 players they have that are all Div 1 or 2 std, and beating a clan easily that is trying to mix it up with noobs and vets?

I am totally open to suggestions, BUT, if we are to restrct in the name of fairness who can join with who, then we need rules that will gaurantee that it is fair throughout.

During the wars u really get to know whos behaving oki and whos not, so U ofcourse can refuse to join up with bad attitudes fi

What Division are SC, VLK will be Div 3 or 2 next season.

So I,m not sure under the suggested restrictions, SC and VLK would be an allowed partnership. This is the sort of problem I will have to try and deal with i we impose Clan joining "regulations", or are you suggesting that the only problem is 2 Div 1 clans joining together, and it doesnt matter who else joins as a single squad?

As I said b4, imo a LOT pof div and 3 clans have a couple of players that are easily Div 1 std, certainly much better than the likes of me and the KIA guys (not moony and Garpy of course), put them together, and you will have a team that is easily as good as a 1st Div squad. so that said, should we enforce a change system, wher you must not play the same players all the time, to prevent 2 clans joining together and just fielding their best 6 or 7 etc players each week.

We have some time to think this through, and get it right. Its gonna be a fun league, I wanna make sure that is exactly what it is. But a knee jerk raction to PC and KIA joining, isn't gonna be enuff to run it smoothly, if it is to be changed for the sake of fairness, it has to be fair to all.

With hassle i mean setting up equal teams every week and making tacts, getting everyone to be in irc on time etc.

With a clan like KIA this isnt a real issue. If im not around i have every confident that EddZ will take over to handle such things and vice versa. Besides, im good friends with them so it makes it extra fun for me.

Its hard enough for me as it is to get 5 PC online every week (mostly we have though)

Regarding the tasks that comes with bein a CL, I do have the time for it so ic it as a task that gives me pleasure.

Why not just make it 4on4/5on5? Chose one map each week, two lots of 20 mins with each clan being "blue" first (for example) then red for the next 20 minutes on the weeks designated maps? That way many more clans can join and there's less hassle in having join up with a clan, create a decent handicap etc.

I played 1 CTF 'War' with 6o6 and it was real fun! i don't think there is a fun with just 4o4 just on such big maps like agctf_outland (great mape, looks very g00d). I prefer 6o6 ot 7o7 that r0x :D

I may try and create another AGCTF map sometime, perhaps based on one of my other maps (means I can knock one up quicker by reusing some of my original source files :)) Doubt it would be as big as outland as that took quite a while to build, but we shall see.

Any requests on style or anything? Indoors, outdoors? Open, twisty, cramped? Any of the areas in any of my maps you think could work well in a CTF map?

I'd say; let's just try it out without any restrictions.
CtF is no deathmatch it's more about tactics. off course 2 div1 clans will kick most of the lower combination there ass, but lower clans might have far better tactics and will beat clans that are much higher then they are.

Let's just see how it goes, it'll be fun anyways :)
