THIS IS A PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT - IN HERE PLEASE

It is my pleasure to announce the new HLCCL team.

We have all been working hard behind the scenes to sort this out. The last few weeks have been particularly difficult but we have stuck to it and come out with a very good solution.

To be honest, I felt that I couldn’t give anymore and my devotion had run out. It seemed like every time we had a league night or something was brought up, we couldn’t deal with it because rules were old or new things were coming up that we either didn’t know about or couldn’t react to.

I see the community made up of people that don’t necessarily play half life and those that do. Whatever we all come back and have a look, as to be honest we are lucky to have the types of discussing and posting that we do. The common link is that we have all played half-life at some stage. The main place for interaction is this forum and the various IRC channels.

The HLCCL is the main attraction of the community and it is enjoying its 3rd year and 6th iteration. We have had the best clans and players playing here at some point and its still going strong.

I took a step back and looked at the whole thing and broke down what I needed to do to sort the disorganisation out and knew that we had to manage or run the community in two separate areas.

A fresh approach was needed. I was getting bored and fed up and I wanted out. I realised that it was now do or die time. I both applied my knowledge of this place and my real life job skills one more time and have come up with the master cheese plan..

This place is blessed with very clever people that just need prodding in the right direction and that is what I am going to do.

Basically we have a new clear structure. People with proper descriptions and a clear concise understanding of what they need to do.

You will see by my diagram below that there are some people that have specific responsibilities to the community or the HLCCL and some both

We have re worked the HLCCL rules and the forum rules. These are the ‘benchmarks’ that we will use to stop all the disorganisation and unpleasantness that we have had in recent times.

There are some new names here but most you know them well enough.

The co-leaders are there to be my ‘brains’ and to pull me up when I doing something wrong. The other roles you should be able to work out from the descriptions

I am still the leader but I am now accountable to the co-leaders. I need the pressure to be shared out more than it was before.

Yep we are all 100% behind the big cheeser. Things will certainly be changing around here.

Direct any match problems etc to me via the appropriate methods I will outline, as I will NOT be discussing matters on these boards.

I'm hoping we can get the fun back in, and the some of the problems we've been having ironed out.

I will be outlining the new procedures that I am putting in place for correspondance to head admin. In the mean time please simply pm me, and I shall deal with your enquiry.

Any applications for admin positions, or any match queries or problems, please direct to me.

I'll do my best to help you all, but please understand that this is a two way thing. If you want me to help you, then please help me. Things will be co-ordinated in a professional, and pleasant manner or not at all. After all, this is a game and is supposed to be fun.

I promise things are going to improve ten fold over the next few weeks, but please bear with us :)

on a similar note.. when the new site is launched (not too long now guys ;)) there will be, in regards to inkys post

1. An ADMIN APPLICATION FORM. Where you can fill in your details and apply to be an HLCCL Admin

2. A MATCH COMPLAINT/APPEAL FORM. Where you can lodge a protest or query about a certain match, and voice any problems you might have.. or on the flip side to tell inky u luuub him and he's doing a great job ;)
