do u use G4 w/ more than 512mb RAM?

lo, my prob is this...

ive got 1gb of ram, but my gfx card only lets me put 512mb ram into my board (it just keeps restarting itself wen i turn it on)
yet wen u take one of the 512mb sticks out, it fine... :(

i know its my gfx card coz this never happend wen i ran 1gb of ram on my tnt2...

pleez help..coz ive ot a 512 stick i cant use ;(

Try differant slots, i've got a similar problem on mine. In slot 1 i have a single sided 256 crucial dimm, in slot 2 i have nothing, in slot 3 have a double sided 256 crucial, dunno why it won't work in slot 1 n 2 like normal practice dictates but it seems fine like this.

Yeah try borrowing some. What do you need 1Gb of ram for?
