Just built me a pc and weird probs

Ok first off all the details you need:

1. OS - XP(attempting to install)
2. Ram 2x256 DDR
3. CPU - AMD XP1800+
4. Motherboard - Asus Nforce 2 A78NX deluxe
5. HDD - Western Digitial Cavier 120gig 8mb 7200
6. GFX - Nvidia Ti4800SE

Well first off i built the above pc (in an xaser III case) and all was well, i then (stupidly) tried to install winxp with an old CD i got when i bought a pc from pc world. I found this would not work as the installation fecked up. I then got hold of another XP cd and attempted to reinstall it, as i restarted the computer i got blue screens of death before xp loaded itself in dos (where you install, format etc). I then restarted again and then the monitor failed to pick up and signal and has been that way ever since. I have an idea of how to install the OS correctly just need to see thats all. So thats the main prob atm, no signal.

If your getting no signal thats hardware m8.
You should at least see the bios screen boot up.

Have you got a floppy boot disc to try?

no not as yet but i mean nothing appears, so tommorow im gonna try a diff gfx card then monitor i think

this usually happens if its overclocked too high....


but other than that its hardware, and therefor trial and error lad, take everything out that you dont need, reset the BIOS and start again
