well i dont know what to do basically since i installed xp my recoil on cs has gone to shit. i use cl_cmdrate 50, cl_updaterate 40.

try cmd 100 update 40 or 60..

I had that for an extended period a couple of years back - there was no choke or loss showing up in netgraph, but I couldn't hit reliably and, bizarrely, the amount of recoil I was getting from all guns seemed greatly increased. I compared directly against my 56k dialup at the time, and the NTL recoil was definitely much worse.

Unfortunately I have to confess I never managed to solve the problem, I just had to wait a few months until NTL improved again :(
