Not sure just how important contention ratio is for ADSL...and I'm wondering whether £2 extra per month is worth it to get 20:1 instead of 50:1.
Any thoughts?
Bandwith ain't an issue yet on the ATM network so BT have not implemented contention of the DSLAM's > PVC's. Although in the furture this will change.
/EDIT ... forgot to add Contention can also be implemented at ISP level by restricting the gateways.

im on buisness adsl from bt, it costs me a £6 more and i get a 20:1 ratio :D
Well 6 quid ain't much but if ya read what i posted above don it does not make any diff. When BT finaly decide to bring contention in, they will most likely have to lower the standard 50:1 contention down to 20:1 anyway, as a 50:1 contention ratio ain't really feasible for users.
