Im on win 98 se
have a 40gb quantum hardisk

384 pc100 ram
This is damn annoying.
It used to take forever when I had my hd in one partition then when I split it in two defrag finally worked.
Now when I try to defrag either partition C: with 11GB and D:27GB
It never gets anywhere,just keeps restarting.
Ive closed all external apps running in the bg before hand (virus checker,internet connection sharing)but always happens.
Any help would be appreciated as everyone knows a defraged hd works much better thana fragged one :)
