XP problems

noticed xp has slowed down for some reoson.
applications r taking between 15 & 30 secs to open.also my windows task manager is saying my cpu is running at 100% yet non of the processes r taking up any mem or cpu usage :sigh:
any ideas what could b causing this ?

Defragment your hard disk m8.
Seek times make a massive difference in terms of opening up applications.

it's a fresh install m8

check your task manager in the process tab, there will be one with a huuuuuuuuuuuge amount of memory assigned to it most likely

try closing it see if that helps and source where it comes from. might be an incompatible service or virus checker

Check out ur BIOS.
Could be allot of things that slow down ur PC..
Mine worked 100% after a clean install.

Check ur Nvidea drivers & Settings @ ur desktop
