View Full Version : Epox 8k7a+ Hangs on C1
Just put in a new stick of ram and the dang thing wouldn't boot.
I reseated them all etc, and it booted only detecting one stick
The Epox forums reckon it's a common problem to have to take the board out to seat them, which I'm going to reluctantly try when I get home.
Anyone else had any problems like this?

i did with my iWill board....
stuck in some more ram the same type as the one already in there... it didnt pick it up...
i swop the ram around and my pute doesnt boot..
turn em back round and take out the new one and its fine..
though i think the rams screwed :D lol
but yeh.. i have had a seating prob b4.. ddr ram has to be RAMMED in if u excuse the pun ;)
not a ram prob, cause I had it booting with both, only 1 at a time.
I nearly broke me board putting em in ;(
I can't be arsed to take my board out, then put it in again, only to take it out when I get my new heatsink, so I think I'll go offline for the rest of the week if I can't sort it.
I'm on Hols next week anyways

Tip: dont put the big spikey TT Ramsinks on your memory. cos you cant get the fluffer into the slot after you have carefully and painstakingly silverpoxied the spinkee bloo sinks on. its why i can only use 1 slot now :(
Darn capacitor gets in the way on the board :( if placed in slot 1. Placed it on slot 2 and the Ramsinks cover slot 1 and i cant get the fookers off ;(
