Hi lads, thanks for all your help youve been great :)

another newbie question.....

Ive setup the connection so I can see my xbox from my pc using flash fxp
I have only managed to send my films across at the mo (works great, apart from 2 which 1 is very jerky and the other blank screen but I can hear the sound) , as I'm having problems setting up a emulator..its not as simple as move the exe file from your pc to the emu directory after creating a folder calling it Megadrive or summit like that, I presume you have to do more but I'm a noob and need help LOL

Does every directory need to have a xbe file ? as I've seen loads floating around..

Just need to get my head round how the xbox works (its does not look like the same as pc's regarding files in the correct position????)

All app's or games (or anything that runs basically) has a single file called default.xbe
This is the file the system looks for.

Dashboards like evox are configured to look in certain places when you configure the evox.ini file, for example games, apps etc. Now Evox I believe looks in the root of the folder you specify in the evox.ini, and also all first level subfolders.....

Example being you specify for links to F drive as follows;
F:\apps
F:\games
F:\music
F:\movies

Any applications you copy using fxp to the F drive would need to be as follows.

F:\apps\xboxmediaplayer\default.xbe

Now the default.xbe file knows where to look as a 'relative' path for the remainder of its applications files, so just retain the directory structure.

My understanding is that you can create as many pointers as you want within evox, xboxmediaplayer has a similar cfg file which points to the location of your movies, music and pictures.

Hope i've explained that in a useful way m8..... if you've got evox running thats the main thing..... i can always send you my xbox config files in a zip, then all you do is overwrite them.

How did you finally flash your xbox? I know you were having probs with your drive reading the app?
