its your cd drive, some play cdr some only play dvdr

try putting a few mpegs & avi's ona dvd-r dsik then watch the show :)

You can watch avi's, mpgs, vcd, svcd, dvd and also straight from iso and bin file with media centre including across the network.
If from a cd it does all depend which of the three brands of drives you have.....

got it sorted now since i upgraded to Media Centre (from xbmp)

Get your xbox onto your home network, never burn a disc again :)

yeah m8, but i burn all my films to dvd anyhow (in avi format) 'cause i like to keep all my films on disc :D

I sure this has been posted somewhere before but how do u convert avi to dvd easily as i have tried with nero vision before but i end up get sound snyc probs

If you've got an old Thomson drive in your box, you'll probably need to use CD-RW media rather than CD-R to get it to read the discs ok.
