I should probably know this but after a weekend in the sun me heads gone a bit funny.

here's the setup

PC with USB link to Cablemodem
Pc with Network Card linked to Xbox

All connections are fine in that PC can connect to Xbox and I can stream all media down from PC using XBMC,

the problem is I can't use t'internet on PC when the Xbox is hooked up to the PC and using the network connection. It's as if when the network connection is 'live', the PC tries to use that to connect to t'internet instead of using usb connection to the cablemodem.

Any ideas? I'm using WinXP btw :)

U may have done this but!!!

Run netwrok setup on pc setting pc as having internet direct all other connect through

Then setup the xbox on a static Ip and not dhcp, bit more work but i find it more stable..

I was gonna say make sure your using a crossover cable if its direct connection to pc but sounds like you have already....

there should be no reason for it not to work though!!!

As said, make sure the x-box and the network card in your PC are on static IPs, shouldn't be any problems.
