he had the chip though, i think, so he might as well use it.

i'd really love an FX55 though, shame i dont have £550 for a processor :laugh:

Bout £930 for that lot, think some of it was reduced on ocuk by the time I placed the order though.

Chip is in the post, tis a freebie :) If I was building the whole system from scratch I would have gone FX55 too, although my P4 3.0ghz was the most stable system I've ever owned :)

3.46Ghz 1066FSB Extreme Edition :D Not as fast as the FX55 for gaming tis true. But it's unlocked so I should be able to get some good speeds out of it.

*finally* got the chip today :D

It's a beast, Asus Star Ice cooler looks pretty sweet with it's blue LEDs and the red ones all around the motherboard.

Fricking thing not only looks like a jet engine, but sounds line one when you turn it up full blast :)

It's a great cooler though :) 36C @ 3.8ghz 1.625Vcore under extended load.
