View Full Version : The Cup - Groups - Handicaps - How it works - ALL In ere

First here is the tables.:

And heres how it is gonna work.
Every one plays everyone in their group once, top 3 and best 2 (exact method for calculation yet to be decided) runners up go through to the last 32 knockout competition.
All teams play their own chosen Cup Home map (not allowed to be the same as their league map) once in a match, so 2 maps are played, the total frags scored in each map are recalculated using the handicap ratios, which depend on what group the 2 clans playing are placed in the handicap groups above.
Example:
KIA (group 1) v ITV (group 3)
Map 1
KIA 254 ITV 176
Map 2
KIA 200 ITV 117
Recalculated =
Map 1
KIA 254 ITV 300 (176 x 1.7 = 299.2 rounded up (all part frags rounded UP))
Map 2
KIA 200 ITV 199 (117 x 1.7 = 198.9 (rounded up (all part frags rounded UP))
So draw, 1 map each, so 1 point each in the group tables.
A win is 3 points. 1 win and a draw = 3 points.In the event that BOTH maps a drawn, it goes to a rematch.
Maps will be listed beside each clan in this thread, as and when we process the CLs decisions.
Competition will start in 2 weeks time on the 30th July.

BTW we understand clans in a 5 clan group have it easier, but it was a random draw.

On a side Note
KIA play
KIA5 (have to double their scores)
Mup (two and half times thier score)
WOL (two and half times thier score)
HOPFUN (2.2 !!)
GLC(2 x :( )

Just hide when ur playin a div1 clan :)
Think mapchoice is really important in the cup..
lower div teams would do well against div1 teams when playin a big map.. kinda hard 2 get a lot of frags then.. :)

No m8. And it wasnt out of spite of course, we have loved playing you guys this week, and hope to do it a lot more in the very near future, its just recognition of the quality that resides in your team. To put you in group 3 would be unfair to your peers. You should be proud.

Errrr Farewell dont seem to be on the list of maps that can be chosen and thats what we wanted cos we had it last time for the cup ...... any reason why we cant have it this time ?

No m8, just missed off, will add it, and add Sub Transit aswell.
RFC will be added to group 5 as soon as Moonz seees this.

Moonz, can you sort out the JA and JA2 probs, JA2 is in the group with Can as stated above, just missed of ze numbre 2.
Also Looks like DHD missing from handicap groups aswell, check the master and enter them in the correct group. Ta m8y.

hhmm, mfc (group H) has left he hlccl one week ago.
so, if somebody must play against mfc, nobody from mfc will be there.

Eeep we have a tough group .... although we had DM in the first round of the last cup so at least this time round we stand a little bit better chance I suppose..... although I seem to recall DM didnt win by that many frags on our cup map last time so who knows what wil happen this time :)

mfc2 will stay in the league.
2 or 3 players of mfc moved to mfc2, just to make sure that they will have enough players for the cup/league.

MFC2 will be moved to group 3 of the handicaps then, to represent the moving of the MFC players to MFC2. ALL handicaps will only be set in stone once the competition starts, until then we will use any new information we have to judge the most correct handicap for each and every clan.

I see the cup starts 30 juli, will be there a scrimm every week? Is there coming a roster?
How will the clans be contacted?? Do we have to check scemes here on the forum?

Check this forum m8, all fixtures etc will be up here.
And yes once league and Cup start, there will be matches EVERY week, unless it is a Bank Holiday, so always check on this forum :)

VoiD m8 the ratio for group 2 v 5 is 1.8 i think, but ArmA and uP are in same group, so it will be a normal match with no frag difference i think. :)
oo looking forward to playing you ZT, btw what is your cup map and settings please? :D

Just look at league fixtures, there you can find all those groups or divisions as they are called...
