Interview with storm^cam, one of HL's sexiest players

<Flex-> Well Hello there, if that aint camy wamy, for some reason people are
interested in u storm^cam, can u believe it?

<storm^cam> Hi there! first of all i feel honored about beeing asked for this interview.
Even if i think most of community who know me do it mainly because of the things i used to do, the things i said in irc, posted in forums etc. and not because i were/am an extraordinary player.
I always tried to act smart during the years, make the best decisions for my team, help my teammates as good as possible (so did they, and not just in gaming issues), keep us away from dodgy rumours, arrange our games, keep us together etc. - was hell of a work sometimes, but then again having a look at where we are now, it was worth all the time and effort i put into storm and don't regret it at all.

<Flex-> some general questions to start with..
<Flex-> since when do you play HL ?

<storm^cam> I can't really come up with a proper date, could be 4 years,
maybe 5, time is passing away so fast. Only thing i know for sure is that i missed almost the most active period
of hldm. Clans like -xki-, kr, sod, ri, etc. - i just know them from screenshots and things i got told.
Of course i've met several players which were part of those famous clans, some are currently playing for storm.


<Flex-> some1 talked you into it or u just bought it saying to yourself: Hey
i am going to own this game!

<storm^cam> My brother, Kurokawa (was like 2-3 years ago one of austrias top cs
players), bought the game, by then we shared a pc and i've watched him
playing cs quite often, i always told him "how can u play such a game, looks
like a waste of time"

<Flex-> but..

<storm^cam> then one day i tried hldm and i was like "hey its cool" i
started playing it once a week and got more and more into it...
<storm^cam> and well it went up to almost every day. i really enjoyed it and
in my point of view its still the best game around.

<Flex-> u even becamee "good" I mean we all know u never were any better
than average but hey who cares..

<Flex-> anyways
<Flex-> were u in storm from scratch or were there any other clans lucky to
have teh CaM in their team ?
<Flex-> or..

<storm^cam> :D
<storm^cam> there was a team called storm a long long time ago, several
players from the current team were part back the old days aswell, phat, silk,
cell and rapid.

<Flex-> they invited you in??

<storm^cam> this was when i havn't even started with online gaming, was
almost at the start of hl i guess, players like nash(.uk), spacey(.be) were in aswell but
then they split up some day and the players went to [KIA], [ITV] and hell i
can't remember where else.
i got my chance when they decided to reform, as i knew nash from another clan, Sons of ARES, i asked him if i could join storm. His answer was kinda funny, only thing he said was "why not", the others were fine with it aswell as you can see i am still in.
<storm^cam> as a short note, i doubt i would have got in according to my skills back that time :)

<Flex-> As ur bro is/was a good cs-player, u must be familiar with the term
"orga", can u be described as the storm team's orga ?

<storm^cam> It's hard to answer this question as we shared this duty, rapid,
phat and me did this mainly, we never really had a proper clanleader. almost in every case we made the important decisions, like recruiting new players, together. if i would need to name our clanleader i would say either rapid or phat.

<Flex-> Its a shame that ur not that often ingame anymore, can u tell me
what happened, i know uve been busy in kindergarten where all real men
should work for some time if u ask me

<storm^cam> hehe, no this has many reasons, beeing good in a game can make
you happy for several time, but then again its not the only important thing
in life. i wouldnt say that i was that focused on hl that i havnt done
anything else anymore but i cant deny that it was some kind of addiction to
me. get better, get the team to its best, etc. these things were important
to me.
<storm^cam> i doubt i have missed many games of storm during the last 3
years as i was too curious about their outcome.
<storm^cam> but now ive a much more relaxxed view about this game

<Flex-> apparently u are also responsible for one of Hldm finest clan
websites, can you gimme that url again?

<storm^cam> oh hldm u meant, and of course i havnt made that masterpiece of a website (go%tse.c%), wish i would have but...

mistaken?

<Flex-> was it you that set it up?

<storm^cam> yes, ive been collecting those images for several years now and
i was like "maybe other people are curious about how the other players look
like" and in such a small community its possible to publish many player
images.

<Flex-> collecting pictures of boys and men, in general fairly ugly or geeky
people, has that something to do with your less regular sexual feelings
towards both women but definitly also to men?

Flex-> i know theres a few people u wouldnt mind making love with, including
hubz, vortex and myself. correct me if im wrong here...

<storm^cam> hehe, flex you know there are just a few that can mess with you,
so there is no reason to get jelous about others.

<Flex-> i am not, i am more than willing to share you
<Flex-> but then again u did not correct me..

<storm^cam> well this whole gay issue came up a long time ago, its common
these days, i think first people who were starting with it were the players from the clan cold, tracid e.g. at
least him i remember when it comes to this gay issues :D

<Flex-> what about DoN, would u make love to him ?

<storm^cam> Don is something very special, he is not the sort of guy i would
go home with at first date, i guess maybe when i would know him better...

<Flex-> So who are the players u liked most, i mean if u c those guys in ASE
u immediately decided to join that server..
<Flex-> over the years

<storm^cam> There were a few in the past few years, even though i know i
will miss many i will name a few, hope the others wont take it as a personal
offense

-XKI-tien_lung/storm^nash, storm^hubz, flex, tracid, [mib]kraut,
[mib]Specialist, derek, vortex, [pmers]aro, [bier]judas, dev, r0ck, sh4k,
mass, phat, cell, rapid, master, syn, pain, gr4n, cka, don, [bier]bu, shiva, aro, fox, chop, silk, oh well and many more as i said (all the storm boys of course).

<Flex-> ok ok, to spice things up a bit, i reckon there were a few players
that were annoying, childish, wannabe 1337 or whatever aswel, who would be
ur personal top 3 seated

<storm^cam> 1. Spazn(.fr) cause of... begging to let him join us
<storm^cam> 2. Renkie(.nl) cause of... puh several things, but since ive met him in real life it got much better, nowadays in my point of view we come along well
<storm^cam> 3. Outage or how he calls himself, natok, biggy were very annoying aswell

<Flex-> i know u managed to beat me once at stalkyard which is quite an
achievement!!

<storm^cam> well ive beaten [bier]judas and tracid at stalkyard :)

<Flex-> well twice but then again, aswer my question

<storm^cam> even though this was when judas just got into the game :)

<Flex-> ah ye i remeber he bought the game one day earlier

<storm^cam> i think ive beaten many good players in 1o1
<storm^cam> made lem leaving a 1o1 vs me once on lv2 etc
<storm^cam> ripped off tim and jon together with judas at lv2, and many
more victories

<Flex-> lol why does that not surprise me about lem, he left undertow
several times
<Flex-> and storm's greatest victories?

<storm^cam> talking about storm, i dont know where to start, in fact we won
everything in the past, remained undefeated for more than a year, our only
loss was the hlccl league game vs KIA, apart from this game we won
everything, cbcup, ehll cup, hlccl(apart from the very last season). as far as i know some of our achivements
are written down on our homepage

<Flex-> yes it does sound arrogant, ur such a ****, but i forgive u
<Flex-> a very important question pops up in my mind: whats ur favourite
colour storm^cam ?

<Flex-> besides storm obviously

<storm^cam> in order: -SW-Campos (Shadow Warriors), [NoC]Dipzy (NoClan),
[mib]ronAn (men in blue), ARES| cAm (Sons of ARES), [noPmers]cum and well
last but not least storm^

<Flex-> im glad u didnt forget noPmers there, the clan that brought u
countless victories, mainly over pmers
<Flex-> many people are interested about the man behind storm^cam, can u
tell us something about urself, your interests, hobby's, school/work etc

<storm^cam> well, ive a private homepage aswell but i wont publish the url
in this interview as it does contain many personal information, ill
give you a short overview:

<storm^cam> i were born 1981 in hungary and lived there for 5 years, then my family
came to austria, where we are still living.
<storm^cam> i attend to a school for electronic data processing and studying
psychology now and working part-time as developer of web based projects.

<Flex-> rumours go ur a very gifted origami fan and a good singer
<Flex-> i even have a few songs in which u are starring, would u mind me
uploading them ;-)

<storm^cam> i am interested in music(westlife, faith hill, beautyful duets
and amazing songs in general), movies,
football(mexico, liverpool, real madrid) and many many more.
origami is one of the things i'd like to be much better at, almost the same with singing, although i dont take neither nor really seriously, just go for it, feel free to upload them.

<Flex-> Most of us already know, but for the ignorant: whats ur favourite
music/band, and why them?
<Flex-> oh u already aswered that, westlife!! of course

<storm^cam> not just westlife, robbie williams - angels and take that - babe
are songs i wouldnt want to miss aswell, and many more like celine dion etc.
<storm^cam> and there are many others aswell of course

<Flex-> So what are your plans for the future

<storm^cam> to gain the worlds leadership

<Flex-> Ok, studying psychology is a good start
<Flex-> will online gaming have a place or will you leave us geeks and start
a real life


<storm^cam> this geek issue, its not just like online gaming people are geeks,
having seen weird videos about japanese kids playing yoyo, people playing
table soccer in a very weird way etc... hell, there are geek almost
everywhere these days, once you start getting focused on a special thing and do it in a
extraordinary way, you start to be a geek tbh

<Flex-> i am asking this also because of HL2, HL2DM, AG2 etc, what are your
thoughts on that?

<storm^cam> i havnt spent much time thinking about hl2 at all.
for now i have to remain with this answer, i dont say i quit
online gaming at all and you will never ever see me again etc. but as for
now i dont know if and when i will be back playing hl2 or something similar.
<Flex-> well as long as your in irc im ok with that, but im sure alot of
people would like to c u own again, as u did in the old days ;)


<Flex-> To finish for now, if any of ur good hl m8s decides to go to vienna,
are they welcome to stay at ur place, or even better, in ur bed?


<storm^cam> of course they are, i'd love to meet some of my closest online
friends. those people i met by now ([bier]judas, [bier] dudes, storm^hubz,
[NoC]Fox and NoC in general, Renkie and a few more... i was surprised as
they were all very nice in real life, even renkie was

<Flex-> Is there anything u like to add to this interview, an important
issue not mentioned or left out..?
