Hello people with bits of PC in their pockets!

I've recently upgraded to an audigy 4 from onboard sound and am having some strange graphics issues.

At first HL2 was playing up, all entites were fullbright even in pitch darkness etc. Reinstall of directx and latest nvidia drivers sorted that.

Now when I watch movies the first one i open is extremely bright and washed out but any others I open as well as that first one are fine, even if its the same movie opened twice

I have reinstalled codecs etc but dont hink thats it as it happens on any movie type.

I have:

Audigy 4 (latest drivers)
2 x 6800 GT in SLI (latest drivers)
Win XP

Any ideas? :'(

/edit: this is in Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic, havent had a chance to try another player yet.

Thanks for reply Sir, sorted it

it was doing it on all video players leading me to believe it was indeed a graphics issue.

Turns out it was the color correction settings not staying on "overlay" (used by video) and reverting back to some wierd curve every time - the fix was to create and save a custom colour profile. Thanks go to Psymonkee :)
