.. is the league not progressing?

By this time it should be moving along but for the last couple of months things have been at a standstill... so why and what can be done to resolve it?

With all the resources here, you would have thought the league would be up and online by now?

I do apologise if this post is close to ranting, I did not want this to sound like that. However HL2 : DM needs a boost and more competition would certainly do that.

Yep could'nt agree more.The HL2DMpro mod has all the match features we need.But after we said bye to wick,I dont know whos gonna help run it.Also the summer dont help,I dont know about anyone else but I have been on holiday and not really playing any DM since I got back.Maybe september time will some more action on the league front.

Well, the main problem was that the league is meant to be run (as the sponsorship suggests) on Wireplay servers. However there was problems with them and I believe Wick was pushing for them to be sorted but without any luck, as all the response he got from his main point of contact in Wireplay was that they werent sure when someone was going to be at the datacentre to sort it on-site.

OK - but clan servers can be used to greater effect. If the HL2DMpro mod is going to be used then most clans can be able to get in contact with the company and get it installed on their boxes.

If a load of problems that are stopping a league being formed they should be identified and rectified. If a couple of extra hands are required I'm sure many people here would be happy to help.

The new beta they released lets you play normal DM at the click of a button.So its standard DM with all the new admin stuff included.

That has been possible as long as I've heard about the mod.

That you can do that is why HL2CCL should use it. Makes everything a lot less painful.

Servers aren't really a problem,
it's the leadership (no offence)
but they aren't really doing anything to get this started.

So we use servers that have HL2DMpro on them because they don't crash. Ask for a few admins to help out, draw up a shedule then watch the games begin.

It shouldn't be taking this long, once the league is up I can see a lot more clans coming back to the game. ie - PC. I can also see a lot of clnas not in the CB ladder starting here, ie - TAG, eP.

Either way, VALVe are not serving the community well enough. You would have thought the HLCCL would be doing its utmost to keep the game alive.
