your golfing season, - hows it gone ?

had quite a good year this year considering a change of course,

left my previous course with a handicap of 8 and the course i join in March was Brancepeth Castle, which is a hard course. it had taken me about a month before i shot my handicap of 8 round the course and by then it was time to start entering competitions.

won 1 medal competition with a gross 76 which is 6 over

then i got cut to 7

won captains day where i shot a gross 71 which is 1 over, the competition wasnt a qualifier so i didnt get cut :( but i did win a 140 quid golf bag so i wasnt to bothered :)

and i was in 3 knockout competitions

a matchplay one, a strokeplay one and a doubles matchplay one with KingFrag.

i got to the semi-finals in all of them but unfortunatly got knocked out in all of them. my handicap then got Rule 19'd down to 5.6.

then i pld the Junior Club Championship and shot a 79 gross which is 9 over and in the second round i shot a 71 which got me 2nd place, and my handicap cut to 5.1

so currently play off 5 and finding it quite hard but gonna keep at it.

Yeah good year for young Luggs.
After last years progress from 11 down to 6.5, ive had a not so good year. Handicap is currently 7.3 but strangely i feel im a better player now, altho my putting has got worse, maybe getting used to new greens etc.
Had a few lessons and will continue those over the winter with an aim to improve again next year. Had some great rounds in doubles and non medal events but seem to have come unstuck in the medals.

But ive enjoyed my golf again and thats the main thing i guess.

My golf season has been pretty non existent this year, got pipped at the post by luggs in the hlccl golf day, that was about the highlight of my golf season, have played golf only once since then, and next weekend going to challenge luggs and frag round their home course, but i am not panicking, i got super eddz on my team. :P
