8 o clock arose when i had my Shofer pick me up in an 04 BMW and take me 2 mile ride to Thee Luxury Farmhouse owned by Multi-Million Pound Golfer David Mawston. As i got there the Continental Cockneys were at the table tucking in to Bacon Sandwiches and Fresh Orange to start us off.
we then made our journey to Brancepeth Castle golf club for our 36 holes of what should have been called golf :)

the format was , 4BBB Stableford Max Handicap 18

after the first round Team North East were 1 shot ahead and was looking like the Southern Shandy Slurpers were making a come back.

after the second round Team North East pld some steady golf to take the lead by 4 shots.

we are off the Saltburn Golf Club today home of Dalehead where we shall see the Beast of the East rip it up. hopefully for another 36, i will be taking m y Camera so there will be some piccys uploaded for the crack,

What a good weekend. Lots of laughs and competitive golf was had.
As Luggs said Played 36 holes for 3 full days, almost a marathon i reckon.
Saturday 2 rounds at our home Course Brancepeth Castle, nothing too memorable in terms of the golf played. Luggs and myself had a 4 shot lead after Day 1.
Then off to Dalepeas home course of Saltburn, where myself and Luggs ripped it open shooting personal bests of gross 68 and 70 respectively runnig up a 16 shot lead which would count as half points on the final day.

So yesterday we went into last 2 rounds with a 8 shot advantage. Some sublime golf was played with some unbelievable shots pulled off. 44 points by eddz and merv (betterball), brought the scores to within 3 shots, but then we managed 44 ourselves to see the challenge off.

Luggs chipped in with the last shot of the day for an eagle 2 at the last to maintain our unbeaten record on the day.
So we won by 8 shots. Merv must have scored 10 birdies on the final day and still came out on the losing side. Gg all roll on next installment.

Luggs has some piccies which im sure hell upload soon.

Was idd a quality weekend.

6 round sof golf, no trolleys and no buggies, in 3 days, on courses set in bloody mountain ranges, was hard work, but worth every spent calory ;)

pld to Fraggy and Luggs, did us in good n proper, merv and I came out on the final day, 8 shots! of the win. But we made a fight of it by bringing that gap down to 3 by the time we turned to the last round.

Mentally and physically spent, we couldnt maintain our level of play, and Fraggy and Luggs once again upped theirs and romped home, equalling our 44 point BB tally from the morning, with us equalling their 39.

The first day they had their luck, with the 2 teams winning the same amount of holes, but 4 of the holes won by the northerners, being a 2 point swing, and no 2 point swings from the Southerners, but a 4 point lead was nothing to worry about, the second day still had hope and promise.

The second day, instead of the Southeners opening up and climbing back in, saw the Northeners shoot their own personal best rounds, Fraggy with a -2!! gross (9 under his handicap) and luggs shooting Level Par gross, and he 3 putted the last green for that :(

The conditions at the Saltbern course, were horrific, 30 mph winds, tearing at you face on for most of the longer holes, which makes their 2nd day achievement even better.

I simply cannot wait for a repeat performanace down South in the new year, I hope Merv and I can gain a slice of revenge.

gg guys.
