Mouse help :(

i really love my old microsoft mx400 5 button mouse! i dont want to buy a new one:sigh: the problem is: everytime i do a single click it is making a double-click!! so i cant use task-bars and other explorer items properly.. could this be an error in my system or have i to put my mouse into the rubbish?

2 things to check:

1)Tools > folder options >click items as follows
Make sure its not set to single click
2)get it in another system. see if same thing happens

1) no its not :)
2) i was-- works fine :D = system error!
3) got another mouse now anyway :p
