having some probs at work with excel...
the situation:
- a box with word-wrap enabled.
- i write a sentence that is longer than the box. word-wrap jumps to the next line.
- everything looks fine, even in the preview.
the problem:
- the document was created on a pc (xp). i use a mac (os x).
- when i convert the document into a pdf file or print it, it looks like this:
My sentence is
ing cut off and
nīt understand
y.
so you see, the sentence gets cut off below the first line. tried anything, even asked our computing department and googled my a** off. so if you think you have a solution, feel free to share it with me. and NO: i canīt use any other program or document. itīs a fixed form! and btw, this problem doesnīt occur when i print it with a normal pc. and YES: i tell my boss to get some decent computers EVERY DAY!

thanks in advance

Quirk of the conversion process no doubt, dont have an apple mac here so cant test and see why but maybe a quick and dirty work around is to use carriage returns in the cells instead of word wrap, so when you get to the end of a line do Alt+Return to go down a line in the cell and type the next line.

thanks dilbert, but i already tried that. itīs ctrl+alt+return for mac. wonīt work, just keeps on cutting off the sentence below line 1 when printed or saved to pdf.
