Howdo m8
Been doing some more on Xp a3d,
Now getting better sound but its still degrading the more I play, my shots start disappearing etc.

Also, can only really here nearby, seems to miss distance I used to have.

I HAVE looked at the thread and the article.
I have unchecked disable option on AC97 dialog (top un)
and enabled others.
Also moved sliders to all say 4, cant find where I saw that mentioned but kinda recollect it being said.
DOne the AGP WS read to enabled in BIOS as well.

So , I am getting gradual degradation in sound as play for longer AND when I exit game, do Task Manager to close HL.exe a few times the sound almost completely goes :/
Requires reboot to sort out.
Kinda pain if swopping between servers for games.

Any other suggestions m8 ?

Slowing getting used to mouse now, with no accelaration, 180s slowly coming back.

i have never had any of these problems.. apart from maybe the sound loss one but a tweak later sorted it :confused:

ive NEVER had sound go in windows...

try changing the pci slot the card is in (away from the agp slot) and do wpcredit again

Already got in slot 4, if I remember rightly without taking side off.
Found this to be best slot for IRQ compatibility with other hardware.
Windows sound is fine m8, its only in game it starts going :(

or i would have found ways past em.. i wouldnt know unless im playing around with the pute
