I installed a3d and followed the guide, all was ok.
I had a problem with my sound card so went back to my soundblaster and eax but im still having problems with shutting down halflife, im having to ctrl alt del.
Ive reinstalled HL but its still the same.
Im wondering if this is whats causing my loss of connection also when i join a HL server, i only get 30 secs of play before i get a NET SEND PACKET ERROR and my connection drops.
Like i say ive just reinstalled HL to no effect, will i have to reformat my HD?
Hope some1 can help ive not played for 3 weeks now :-(

the ctrl alt delete thing is caused by the compatability mode. take it off.

netsend packet error is a common problem on modems.. if you're not on a modem.. then ur connection is being crap :P

hope that helps
