WE (the admin lot) were changing the rules of the HLCCL, this 1 player sub rule was also going to be changed, many people suggested different things and before we decided on a conclusion the old HLCCL forum ****ed and we lost ALL of the "rules proposals".

So this one will probably down to either a vote by the admin team, or a El Tarburetto decision.

GG arma, probly the worst hlccl game i ever played, pute kept locking up about 10 secs into game, i underclocked everything, had the mobo out cleaned it, in the end i think and hope it was graphics card drivers.

i thought you could only replace 1 player if a player dropped in middle of match... and you could sub 2 players at level change....

Reading the thread has made me furious. That's not a good thing. I agree that the rule WAS 1 player substitution, but I know of no team EVER being given a default because of 2 subs between maps. In fact, I'd thought it was decided that the rule was 2 BEFORE the forums died. My bad.

It's up to Enigma if he's happy to give the default to DHD without saying anything.

Me personally, I couldn't care less at the moment; about this league, about tonight's match or some of the people in this league. Mainly the ones who have their heads so far up their own asses they can't see straight.

Anyways, as has been stated, if your argument is strong enough, debate it on ICQ. If it's not, and you need the yells of the 'power bashers' to give it some weight, then keep posting here.

I have had timeto reflect on what else happened last night and I have to say that a mistake was made. As far as i am concerned the rules stand until the ones that we officialise are released.

It does make it harder when the site is down - I admit that.

It may also be harder to remember what are the rules when you spent hours re-writting them. I could have made the same mistake myself.

Moony has to understand that he is in a position or 'responsibility' and as has already been mentioned, you do have to take the flack.

He was talking of handing it over to some one else last night but I hope he has slept on it and looks back at this post and thinks of it as 'just another Sunday HLCCL night'.

I will sort out what is to happen with KIA2 and DHD. If i am going by the book, it doesnt say anything about what happens to a clan if this subbing rule is abused. I need to get the facts and see what the results were or could have been.

The least that could happen is the result stands and we all leanr a lesson.

Medioca is that KIA2 loose one map.

The worse is that DHD get a total default.

It should be 1 player, rules were made ages ago, and should stand until an announcement is made otherwise from the leadership, you cant bend the rules because the clarity isnt there, no clear change was made changoing the rule, KIA2 should lose the map they changed 2 players on by default imo.

But the current leadership will no doubt sort it out.

If we are discussing the substitution rule, may I contribute a suggestion?

Leave it as open as possible, means max 5. We are 11 clan members and if we can only substitute one person, the less gifted players (like me) will never have a chance to play. Only way to make sure to do our best in a match.

If it’s open, we can experiment a bit in the first match and then - in case of failure - go back to safety.

The facts are that if you check the admin forum we are reviewing these rules. They havent been officialised. The 1 sub rule is still there. I accept that this was a mistake already mentioned in my earlier posts.

Saying that your going to stay as an admin and stikcing to the rules is infact what the admins are supposed to do. Things have slipped in the past and we have over looked them as you well know yourselve. I can understand that u are frustrated at this involving KIA2.

Who are the fickle personalities?? I wish people would say what they are thinking rather than hint. I hope I am not one of those.

As for the rest of the commentary you know my opinion on most of it.

I am currently sorting this mess out as a neutral with two well established clans. I get on well with both of them, i am sure we can sort this out reasonably with out all the slagging off of the league and the rubbing of my nose in past issues..

Yes your comments have probably hitting home a few truths but you more than anyone know how hard this is to control and what also happens with things like this are 'aired' in public for everyone to see.

Personnaly think you should just leave this weeks results and take them in as they are, no defaults etc. for extra players being used. Not sure about future rules conerning subs, it's difficult. I guess clans with more players will want more subs available but then they could use two different teams for different maps which gives that clan an advantage (think Nation's cup final) so it's hard to decide. I'm a supporter of the one sub rule but at the end of the end everyone wants to play and the game is about fun.

No point in beating around the bush, if it was a different clan that made two subs there wouldn't be such a big fuss over it but that's life.

Re-drafting of the rules with them on some sort of webspace asap would be the best way to go, clear everything up for next week when we should have the player database back 100%

ive not experienced exceptions in anyway, if anything we were hammered down upon with the rules and tbh there was nothing we could do. So in retrospect maybe you should look at your own harshness and realise this is exactly the same.

LOL - the clan leader's responsibility is to have their players registered. It's the admins job to enforce it, which in your case, SideFX; I did. However, that wasn't done here. And as far as I knew (and the rest of KIA2) we were allowed 2 substitutions.

It's hard to enforce rules that are not clear, or final.


I believe it's the admins fault in this case (everyone makes mistakes). The substitutions should not have been allowed, but they were.

I don't think you can blame any clan for not following rules that are not clear about , or are unable to look up.

Both clans were clear winners, and I don't think in this case there was any advantage gained (a disadvantage in KIA5's case, as they subbed less experienced players).

I don't see any of the involved clans complaining. Just people kicking up fuss. Personally I think the only way out is to organise rematches with the original squad, with max 1 sub... that is only if the clans involved raise a complaint, if the other clan accepts a loss, then I think that should be the end of it, and we all know better next time.

I'm supprised at Jugger, I think a couple of his above posts were well out of character, and not looking at the whole picture.

It's just unfortunate that this involves two KIA clans, as we all know that if it was anyone else, it wouldn't be a big deal.

Summary:

Rematch is the fairest option IMO :)

This is very sad to see.

Tarby is doing the right thing and has the correct attitude on this, he is impartial when others seemingly cannot be so (both ways).

But Tarbs I don't always agree on you conducting most of these matters behind closed doors etc as I feel many are entitled to comment (is a forum ffs:)). I also feel many would piss off from this community if you took away such debates, as long as they are carried out in the correct manner. The bigger issue of the league rules stays in the public domain as always...

There is a no tolerance attitude now. Jugger got the ball rolling and despite what he says its is slowly working.

Once we have the new website up and running half of these problems will not occur. The player database will be the benchmark.

The days of having illegal players and pissing around in game are gone.. I should know as I am as guilty as the next man when it came to over looking some aspects of the rules.

ITV got into a situation where I had to use players from other ITV teams just to get a team out.. Rather than face embaressment I broke the rules and I got caught.. We had to pull our selves together and sort our members out.. We lost a divison of ITV but it made the other two stronger...

Strange how so many clans are struggling for teams now the wonid is imposed. Its also a not so distant memory when we were being told by the HL elite that it wasnt to be used as it was not reliable...

If this is a reflection of a dieing following we need to act on it now rather than just cover up the fact that there are not enough players to play for too many clans in the league.

Things will always be open for discussion whilst I am about, just some things need to be pulled out of the furnace our they will just melt

EddZ here, that was me that posted as KingFrag earlier. Rules are rules, they were set in stone, and havent been changed since, 1 sub per match, everyone knew it, and in this case was forgotten it would seem, as such default the map they played in so match was draw is what should be done imo. What Juggs is saying is true, that some rules ahve been bent slightly since the 0 tolerance, the 3 or 4 players playing under 1 won id for instance (CLUs cafe is the prime example of this) is a perfect example, whilst there is a good reason for this some times (Merv for instance plays at my house), it is indeed very open to abuse, but I,m sure Jugger knows as well as anyone, that if you set a precedent here with this match, every knobbish clan will be abusing the system in the future, and pointing to this example when the broken rules accusations come in.

AS for the Moony thing, Goose you as usual do not know what you are talking about, yes Moony is young, and yes he does say the occasionall immature thing out of turn, but he is funny to a lot of peeps, and works TIRELESSLY for the league, otherwise Tarby simply wouldnt of kept him on after I left, as you sam he got his chance because of me, but has proved again and again that he was worthy of that chance, and works his bolix off. the point is, every "season" "phase" "whatever you want to call it" there are problems, petty problems like this, that, basically, are so fkin small and insignificant that 10 year olds should be able to sort it out... on to much larger problems as playing illegal players (and before anybody flames me, that wasnt a comment directed at anybody)...

but do these problems get overcome? or do they spell the end of the league?

imo the argument of precedent is null as a far older precedent of which rules were adhered to and which were ignored was set long ago; before i was an admin to be precise(about 2 years ago)
